Energy FC is looking to redeem itself after a tough 2-1 loss to Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC during OKC’s home opener March 26.
Striker Danni Konig picked up where he left off last season, scoring the lone goal for Energy FC in the March 26 loss. He converted on a header from fellow countryman Sebastian Dalgaard in the finnal minutes of the match. In 29 games with Energy FC, Konig has scored 22 goals.
Energy FC last played Saint Louis FC on July 25, 2015 in St. Louis. Then Energy FC goalkeeper Evan Newton recorded the fifth of his 10 clean sheets on the season in the 0-0 draw. The teams also met in the 2016 preseason and played to a 0-0 draw in Springfield, Mo.
Saint Louis FC comes to historic Taft Stadium in search of their second regular season win. Saint Louis FC started the season on the west coast with three matches. The squad opened the season with a 1-0 loss to the Real Monarchs on March 26 and a 3-0 loss to LA Galaxy II on March 30. The side picked up their first regular season win on April 2, with a 3-1 victory over Orange County Blues FC. Saint Louis FC will host their home opener on Saturday, April 16 at 7:30 pm against Tulsa Roughnecks.
